The tri-state area of NY, NJ and PA is home to a variety of natural attractions and annual events. To make your stay with us even more memorable at MountainView, we have compiled a few fan favorites of the local area to make your visit complete.
The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area:
Encompasses 40 miles of the Delaware River, 70,000 acres of land to enjoy waterfalls, hiking, biking and numerous water activities. Enjoy the magnificent ride and views on the Hawks Nest's Snake Road above the Delaware River rapids on the way to MountainView, as seen on the top right hand corner of the photo on the left. We are 1.5 miles up the hill from Rte 97 and Delaware River.
The Eagle Institute:
Year round eagle viewing is possible at public viewing sites along the Delaware River. Mid-December through February are the best times, check their website for annual festivals and events.
Peters Valley Craft Education Center:
15 minutes from Milford is a quaint village of artists who fine tune their arts of jewelry making, ceramics, blacksmithing and much more. The center is dedicated to preserving and perpetuating fine crafts.
High Point State Park:
The tallest point in New Jersey is the High Point Monument which was built in 1928. At the top of the peak you can view the Pocono and Catskill Mountains as well as the Walkill River Valley.
Located in Pine Bush, NY, this local winery features wine tasting, tours and opportunities to bring home some local NY wine.
